• Login: Email/password via Supabase Auth. No custom password storage.
• Guest account: You can also try HashEmpire as a guest without registering. Guests can’t attack (only the tutorial opponent), can’t create or join pools, can’t buy anything in the Premium Shop and can’t claim referral rewards. They don’t appear in rankings and leagues, can’t be attacked, and don’t count toward global difficulty. Guest accounts that haven’t been used for 30 days are deleted.
• One active device at a time: Logging into the same account on a new device invalidates the previous session.
• Fair calculations: Balances, hashrate, mining yield, electricity price, BTC price, events and attack outcomes can’t be manipulated — they’re the same and reliable for every player.
• Diagnostic solution stays secret: You never get to see the solution to the maintenance/repair puzzle.
• Anti-abuse on registration/login: IP- and device-based rate limiting.
• Ban system: Banned accounts can no longer perform economically relevant actions.

FAQ

Why is my miner offline? Possible reasons: (1) the electricity contract expired; (2) the miner was defeated in a PvP attack; (3) an upgrade/maintenance/repair just finished; (4) your balance dropped below −$25. Miners each need to be manually restarted.

Why is my miner broken (failed)? Either from overheating or excessive wear (the failure risk starts to rise from about 45% wear, and at 100% the miner is certain to fail). Repair via the diagnostic minigame is required.

Why does my farm produce less BTC than it should? Check your power grid: if the farm draws more power than the facility can deliver, all miners get throttled. Fix: switch miners off or upgrade the power substation — see Facility & Infrastructure. Overheating also slows your miners down.

I got the diagnostic wrong — do I lose the money? Yes, the diagnostic fee is irrevocably lost on a wrong component selection.

Why was I attacked and how do I defend myself? Place firewalls in the free slots between miners, keep miners maintained, and after every attack you suffer you automatically get a few hours of attack protection. Details: PvP System.

Can I change my system clock to gain an advantage? No. Price, events and difficulty are based only on the real time, not your device’s clock.

How do I get HashCoins? A chance in the Daily Chest, the starter tasks reward, the monthly top-3 reward, or purchase via Ko-fi in the Premium Shop.

Why can’t I move my broken miner to storage and sell it? Failed miners must be repaired first before they can be moved to storage or sold.
