PvP: Attack & Defense System
PvP: Attacking Other Farms
In HashEmpire, no randomness decides victory or defeat. The attack power you commit goes head-to-head against the defenses of your opponent’s farm.
Your Farm as Defense
Your farm doubles as your defensive structure. Miners and firewalls form your defensive line. How well your farm holds up against attacks depends on things like your miners, their condition, and your facility tier.
Only active miners can defend your farm. Offline, idle, or failed miners can be captured instantly during an attack. They still count toward the captured farm.
Firewalls can’t be destroyed. They absorb attacks and consume attack power, but don’t themselves count toward the capture goal.
Defense Points & Firewalls
Your facility tier and rack shelving determine how many defense points you have available. Each firewall you place requires some of these points. The more defense points you have, the more firewalls you can deploy. From the Warehouse on you get extra points. As a rule of thumb you have room for about 1 firewall at Home, 2 in the Garage, 6 in the Warehouse and 10 on the Farm — rack shelving adds more points.
Each firewall eats part of the attack power that has to pass through it. Especially at Home and in the Garage, a single firewall is often enough to effectively seal off a short line. Big farms are harder to fence off completely.
Launching an Attack
- Scan for an opponent — Scan the network for a suitable opponent. The scan takes things like hashrate and league into account and looks for players who aren’t currently protected. Once the scan is done, you have five minutes to decide on the attack. Only miners that are active on the farm count — miners in storage play no role in scans or attacks.
- Prepare the attack — If you decide to attack, the non-refundable attack cost is charged (a base amount plus a share that grows with the hashrate you commit). You then choose your entry side, the line, and how much of your available attack power to commit.
- Attack the farm — Your attack power moves through the chosen line, hitting miners and firewalls one by one. You can commit more power within the time window as long as you still have attack power available — at most 20 strikes per attack.
Strategy & Attack Path
You decide where your attack starts and which path you take through the farm. Offline miners are easy targets, while firewalls slow your attack power down. Choosing the right entry side and line can make all the difference.
Entry lock: Once you have attacked a line from one side, the other side of that same line is locked for the rest of that attack. You can’t roll up the same line from both ends to bypass its firewall.
An attack succeeds once you have captured more than 50% of the opposing farm’s miners — counted across the entire farm, not just the line you chose.
Loot & PvP Rating
A successful attack can earn you a share of your opponent’s USD and BTC holdings. The deeper you push into the enemy farm, the bigger the potential loot. A single attack yields about 1–4% of the opponent’s USD holdings and 0.5–2% of their BTC holdings, but at most what the opponent earns in about 2 days. That way players can’t be wiped out in one go. Loot and PvP rating are settled only when the attack ends — not on every single strike. Only a portion of the captured miners (around 30%) actually go offline.
Attacks also change your PvP rating:
- Win: attacker +10, defender −5
- Failed attack: defender +2
After every attack, the defending player gets six hours of attack protection.
You can start a maximum of three attacks per rolling 24-hour period. Multiple strikes within the same attack only count once.
Swapping Miner Slots
Two active miners can swap places for free. Since a miner’s position is part of your farm layout, both miners are reset to uninstalled afterward and must be installed again.
