Mining Pools
You can found a pool (currently $5,000) or join an existing one (possibly with a minimum-hashrate requirement set by the pool owner). Pools have:
- Level & XP — grow by completing pool tasks
- Treasury — members can donate USD (funds level-ups) and HashCoins (e.g. for the pool emblem)
- Tasks — time-limited shared goals (“mine X BTC together,” “X USD revenue,” “X PvP points”). How high the goal is depends on how strong your pool is. Rewards are distributed proportionally to individual contribution
- Kick ban — a player removed from a pool cannot rejoin for 7 days
- Public or private — private pools only take in players the owner approves via an application
Maximum 5 tasks per week per pool (each task runs for 72 hours), maximum 50 members.
Level & Treasury
A pool can rise up to level 20. For each level, the pool needs enough XP from completed tasks, and the treasury has to cover the level-up cost:
- XP: The first level-up needs 500 XP, and each further level needs about 15% more.
- Cost (USD from the treasury): The first level-up costs $3,000, and each further level costs about 25% more.
A higher pool level pays off: the task reward grows with every level. The tasks themselves don’t get “artificially” harder with the level, though — their goal always follows how strong your members currently are.
Emblem & Owner
Only the owner can change the pool emblem. Changing it costs HashCoins (currently 25), paid from the pool’s HashCoin treasury — members can donate HashCoins for it. The owner can also hand the pool over to another member.
Pool Tasks
Each task runs for 72 hours. You choose from 3 tasks at a time. They come as BTC, revenue and PvP tasks, each in easy and hard:
| Task type | Goal (easy) | Goal (hard) |
|---|---|---|
| Mine BTC | about half of what your pool mines in 72 hours | about 80% of that |
| USD revenue | about half of the pool’s revenue in 72 hours | about 80% of that |
| PvP points | roughly 1–2 won attacks per active member | roughly 2–3 won attacks per active member |
The goal is calculated when the task starts, from the strength of your active members (active = online within the last 3 days and with hashrate). That keeps it fair at every stage of the game: a small beginner pool gets reachable goals, a pool full of top farms correspondingly bigger ones. Running tasks keep their goal and reward.
Reward: Easy tasks pay about 6% of the goal’s value, hard ones about 10% — plus 0.4 percentage points per pool level above level 1. PvP tasks pay somewhat more than revenue tasks of the same difficulty. The reward is distributed proportionally to each member’s individual contribution — the more you contribute, the more you get. Unclaimed rewards are kept and paid out when you leave the pool, get kicked, or the pool is disbanded.
Minimum size: A pool needs at least 3 active members to start a task. The full reward requires 5 active members; with fewer, it is reduced accordingly. That way a one-person pool can’t grab the bonus for itself.
Private Pools & Applications
Owners can set a pool to private. Players who want to join then send an application, and the owner decides. To prevent spam there are limits: at most 3 open applications at a time, at most 10 applications per day, and a short wait (24 hours) after a rejected or withdrawn application. Open applications expire after 7 days.
